Christ the King, on the northside of Indianapolis, is looking to hire a school nurse for the 2026-2027 school year. The nurse will provide basic medical care for injuries, administer medications and treatments, monitor students with chronic conditions, keep health records up to date, and communicate with parents and staff about student health needs.
III. POSITION CONTENT
A. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Attends to ill students, faculty and staff and in emergency administers First Aid and CPR
2. Acts as a liaison to outside emergency, training, or local authorities/personnel when needed
3. Helps main office ensure school maintains state regulations on health issues and immunizations
4. Helps main office monitor student and school health records
5. Helps main office create and provide faculty and staff with list of students with medical needs
6. Helps main office create list of faculty and staff medical needs
7. Advises administration on specific health issues that arise in the school

B. EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE
1. Nursing license and degree
2. CPR and First Aid certification
3. Must be able to understand and to comply with the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Code of Conduct
4. Must be able to successfully complete the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Child Safety Training
5. Background screening required
