Position Summary
St. Francis of Assisi School seeks a dynamic and collaborative full-time 7th Grade Homeroom
Teacher. This position reports to the Principal and includes responsibility for teaching Math,
English Language Arts or Social Studies, and Religion to middle school students (grades 78
as assigned).
The ideal candidate is an engaging educator who fosters a positive, inclusive classroom
environment, supports diverse learners, and integrates Catholic values into all aspects of teaching
and learning.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in Math, ELA, Social Studies, and
Religion
- Create a classroom environment that supports academic excellence, faith formation, and socialemotional growth
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and monitor student progress
- Communicate regularly and effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and grades
- Collaborate with colleagues in a Professional Learning Community (PLC)
- Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Support student participation in liturgies, prayer services, and school events
- Supervise students and participate in school activities as assigned
- Uphold school and Archdiocesan policies and expectations
- Model and support Catholic values in all aspects of school life
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid Washington State teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
- Experience teaching at the middle school level
- Knowledge of Common Core State Standards
- Strong classroom management skills using developmentally appropriate and restorative
practices
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to use assessment data to inform instruction
- Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems
Preferred
- Practicing Catholic committed to the mission of Catholic education
- Familiarity with Archdiocesan Religion Standards
- Experience or awareness of Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS).

Compensation And Benefits
Salary Range: $55,000 $78,243 Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
