This person is a disciple of Jesus Christ, both in a life of prayer and sacrament, and who can be a dynamic, caring, empathetic, and faith-filled administrator.Duties and responsibilities of the Dean of Student Life consist of but are not limited to: Is accountable to the Principal of Saint Philip School as well as the Pastor of Saint Philip Church Is in charge of the operation of the school when the principal is absent Serves as Director of the Extended Day Program. Responsibilities for this include: -Interview, schedule and oversee staff members; fill in for staff as needed-Oversee the program coordinator-Order supplies, snacks and materials-Resolve major discipline problems and/or other issues-Communicate with parents as necessaryServes as coordinator of Special Education, Resource and Enrichment services to: -Analyze Star testing data and anecdotal information from teachers to determine student eligibility for resource and enrichment services-Work with our resource / enrichment teachers to develop service schedule-Serve as a public school liaison for title funding and IEP development-Act as a public school liaison to staff and service provides for student testingCommunicates with parents about student services, discipline, and any other students concerns.
Input behavioral data into FACTS Management system regarding student discipline.Assists the principal with interviews, scheduling and oversight of all faculty and staff-Serves as a classroom substitute teacher if one cannot be obtained and teach various classroom subjects if and when needed-Serves as the account manager for all digital license platforms used by classroom teachers-Assist faculty in data analysis of STAR Testing and other educational testing-Establishes and facilitates a faculty committee to examine materials and enhance academic curricula as needed-Work with the schools Business Manager to ensure curriculum enhancements fall within budgetary parameters-Act as a school liaison for curriculum sales companies in order to review and order materials*Assists Principal with the following: -Decisions and meetings regarding any student / staff concerns-The organization and coordination of school schedules-Review of teacher progress reports and report cards for each of the three trimesters-Creation and design of weekly parent newsletter: The Cardinal Compass-Professional days and faculty development-Ordering and receiving books, supplies and materials for students, faculty and staff-Preparation and execution of open houses and school tours; contact with alumni-Reflecting the love and heart of Christ in the faith formation of students, staff and familiesInterested parties should possess educational and administrative experience and the necessary degrees or certifications for this position.
