Job Summary
Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and faith‑filled Middle School Teacher to join our academic community. The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, student formation, and the mission of Catholic education. This position involves teaching middle school students in a Christ‑centered environment that fosters intellectual, spiritual, and moral growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, standards‑based lessons for middle school students
- Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and classroom interactions
- Create a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic and developmental needs of diverse learners
- Assess student learning and provide timely feedback to students and families
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, administration, and support staff
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Participate in school liturgies, meetings, professional development, and school events
- Support the overall mission and philosophy of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid Missouri teaching certification (or ability to obtain)
- Practicing Catholic preferred; all candidates must respect and support the mission of the Catholic Church
- Previous middle school teaching experience preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
