Title 1 Teacher
The K8 Title I Teacher provides supplemental academic support to eligible students in grades K8 to improve achievement in reading and/or math. This position is contracted through the Vancouver School District and serves students onsite at St. Joseph Catholic School. The teacher collaborates with classroom teachers, learning resource team, and school leadership to design targeted interventions, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with Title I requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide small-group and/or individual supplemental instruction aligned with student learning needs
- Assess student progress regularly using district-approved tools and adjust instruction accordingly
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align interventions with classroom instruction
- Maintain accurate records of services, assessments, and student progress
- Communicate student growth and needs with school staff and families as appropriate
- Participate in planning meetings and consultation with school personnel
- Ensure services comply with federal Title I guidelines and district expectations
Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Elementary Teaching Certification (required)
- Experience teaching elementary or middle school students
- Strong background in reading and/or math intervention strategies
- Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with progress monitoring tools and data-driven instruction preferred

Work Schedule & Compensation
- Hours are flexible and determined in coordination with the school and district
- Compensation and employment terms are managed by the Vancouver School District ($25-30/hr)
