Middle School English Language Arts Teacher - Immediate Opening
Sacred Heart School, Mount Holly, NJis looking for a full-time Language Arts teacher to join our Middle School 6-8 grade team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for teaching in a Faith based environment and a deep understanding of middle school language arts.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of the content field
- Demonstrate knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy
- Demonstrate knowledge of middle school philosophy and learning.
- Set specific objectives wherever possible in lesson preparation and weekly lesson plans
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment, diagnosis, and research related to learning.
- Differentiate instruction based upon learning styles.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, administration, and the larger community.
- Develop a Faith based classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Use formative assessments to collect and analyze student data to monitor and track student growth.
- Proficient in the use of instructional technology.
