Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and faith-filled educator to teach students in Grades 6–8. The successful candidate will support the academic, spiritual, and personal development of students within a Catholic learning environment and uphold the mission and values of Catholic education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons for Grades 6–8
- Foster a classroom environment rooted in Catholic values and Gospel teachings
- Support students’ academic growth, social development, and faith formation
- Integrate Catholic teachings across subject areas where appropriate
- Assess student progress and communicate effectively with students and parents
- Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parish community
- Participate in school liturgies, faith activities, and professional development
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the faith life of the school
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school community
- Prior experience teaching middle school is an asset
Preferred:
- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
- Experience integrating faith into curriculum and daily instruction
