Job Summary for High School Teachers:

CCA teachers set the tone for learning for the rest of a student’s life. This includes providing a rigorous learning environment for students, helping them to develop as individuals as well as to master the subject content they need to succeed. Teachers are responsible for developing and implementing Biblically-integrated lesson plans in their classrooms. Teachers create a positive, Christ-centered experience during the school day, so students are more prepared to take on the challenges as they progress through their current and subsequent level of education. CCA teachers instruct and encourage students to develop their individual talents. Teachers strive to foster within their students a passion for learning and how to overcome challenges and obstacles that keep them from reaching their God-given potential. Flexibility is given to tailor lessons to both the teacher’s and the students’ interests and strengths. While using NYS and CCA-approved standards as a guide, CCA teachers find creative, engaging ways to exceed the standards while teaching real-life application of difficult concepts such as, but not limited to, literature, math, and science.

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval,” Romans 13:1-3 ESV
