Christ the King’s Preschool program provides a safe and consistent care for our students. We are seeking a faith-filled, kind and dependable individual to serve as a full-time aide to this program 5 days a week from 7:30 am - 3:30 pm. The aide will supervise students in the classroom, oversee recess, snack time, and naptime, as well as assist the program director and lead teacher with other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

Act consistently in accordance with the mission, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Catholic school. Follow the Archdioceses of Denver Guidelines for Preschool learners.
Maintain confidentially regarding students, families, staff, program details, and confidential school information
Maintain required training, certification and/or credentialing
Follow established procedures to ensure the safety and welfare of students
Perform other duties as assigned by the school principal

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Must be ECE Qualified or have an undergraduate degree (any field) with experience working with children
Current early childhood professional Credential Level II Version 1.0 or 2.0 as determined by the Colorado Department of Education. (Includes 1820 hours of verified experience, ECE 101 and ECE 103)
Efficient in the use of personal computers
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, MAC and applications necessary to fulfill daily aftercare sign in/sign out requirements
Familiar with the use of general office equipment

Competencies and Qualifications:

Refrain from promotion or approval of, or the living out of, any conduct or lifestyle that would reflect discredit or disgrace on, or cause scandal in relationship to, the Archdiocese of Denver, or considered to be in contradiction with Catholic doctrine or morals
Effective supervisory skills
Effective listening and verbal communication skills
Must have an understanding of child development skills necessary to relate to the students being taught
Must have appropriate control and discipline techniques to successfully manage a classroom
Must work cooperatively with school staff and administration
Sound judgment and decision-making skills
Knowledge of and willingness to implement safety and emergency procedures
Compliance with Safe Environment requirements
